The Core Team
In 2008 I completed an MSc in the Science of Climate Change at the University of East Anglia, UK. It became to clear to me that solar energy is a crucial part of the ‘save the world’ tool-kit. Since then I have established several businesses that use solar energy as a means for creating positive changes in society. In 2010 I pioneered utility-scale solar in Britain and in 2012 a business I co-founded, The Renewable Energy Co-operative, was nominated 'International Co-operative of The Year' in the United Nations Year of Co-operatives. In 2014 my wife and I moved to South Africa to identify opportunities in the emerging African solar energy industry, I appreciate the sunshine!

As an impact entrepreneur and developer of renewable energy solutions, I am passionate about working with rural communities that don’t have access to electricity, especially low income areas that would otherwise never experience reliable energy.
