Happy Solstice! Today is the Winter Solstice here in South Africa, the shortest day of the year. For the next 6 months, our days will get longer and members of Sun Exchange will earn more income per month from their solar cells.

The solstice also marks Sun Exchange’s birthday, and it has now been eight years since the company was officially formed and the development of our business model, platform and global community of supporters began.

As a community, we’re nearing our 80th project and have avoided nearly 20,000 tonnes of CO2. Through Sun Exchange, you and our members from around more than 180 countries have collectively purchased and deployed nearly TWO MILLION solar cells.

In celebration of these major milestones, we’ve created a Birthday Special Sunex Video Diary for you, which highlights the progress and impact we’ve made together connecting the world to the sun since Sun Exchange was formed.
